Whats best to strip powder coating off rx2s

i was fairly sure they were powdercoated as where one is quite badly chipped it looks very thick like it is powder coated but i guess it could be painted,  maybe worth trying somet to strip paint first see if it gets to it? what would you use if it was paint? nitromours?

Powdercoat doesn't generally scuff like that...it's too thick, so it just flakes off in lumps.

I'd try Nitromors and see if it bubbles up.

To me, those wheels look like they are still in the standard painted finish.

Looks like paint to me fella , yours are in better condition than mine where before i did mine , i shot blasted my centers .

Well had a try with nitromors and does shift the paint, not powder coating,
However after about 2hrs all I've stripped is a inch around one wheel and a few bits on another, so thinking about looking for a chemical stripper to get it all off, don't mind doing the lips my self cos won't be too hard, a lot of paint off on some already, just need stripping and sanding, may polish now, 

So anyone know of anyone local to Stockport, Manchester area that would strip em for me? Don't want a refurb, just the stripping doing..

Can you not find a local company who do Chrome Plating ??  They will dip them in the acid they use to clean the stuff before plating. This would be relatively cheap. Many years ago I used to do Chrome Plating and this process takes about half an hour and strips everything back to where you want to be
