Just done a head job on the missus 2001 1.6 16v azd lump.
New valves,headgasket cambelt water pump etc.
Built it up and it ran rough,like it was only running on 2.Revved up ok mind but idle and starting was very poor.
Changed the spark plugs and then tried again.This time no spark at all.
Checked so far.
Timing is perfect.
Crank position sensor has voltage and after sticking it on the oscilloscope it is pulsing.
Camshaft position sensor is the same.
Individual coils have voltage and seems to be pulsing ok.
Stick a plug in the coil/amplifier and earth it and nothing.
Vagcom showing nothing,immobiliser seems to be ok and reading no faults.
Everything points to a crankshaft position sensor but its an absolute b!tch to get to and i dont fancy chucking £65 out the window if that isnt the problem.
Any ideas before i torch it?
