Performance Help
« on: 06 June 2005, 01:49 »
Hi i have a 1.3 golf Ryder 1991. what sort of upgrades can i get for performance, nothing too swish tho, can you get induction kits for non-injection?
i already have a really nice scorpion exhaust and the fuel air mixture is tuned for the best performance possible but as usual i want more!

can anyone suggest anything?

not sure if there is an induction kit for the 1.3 there probably is but your better off just replacing the standard air filter for a high flow one and as for abit more power out of it doubt there is alot more you could do without major works to the head etc... you say you have a scorpion system on aswell, is it for a 1.3? as you may be loosing power from having it installed not gaining anything but a nice sound just a thought.

yeah not wanting to put you off but it'll be a waste of money trying to squeeze more power out of a 1.3, you'd have to spend a fortune and get very little to show for it. just stick with it for another year or so then chop it in for a gti.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

i cant afford to insure one, not by a long shot, ive bought a k&n filter today for it, i just want a louder noise to be honest, plus i hear they give you ever such a little bit more power, as long as the cars doing the best it can be, im happy, im allready paying 98 quid a month for the damn thing, i hate insurence companies.

on the lighter side of things once i get it (on saterday) and i put all the bits that i have for it on. its going to look fcuking sweet, ill post some pics once its done
