been at it 4 days now and its starting to grate on my last nerve!
started when ( for some reason ) the drive belt snapped...
my machine is a zanussi XC1200.. the mother of all ****** to get into to do anything!( tho hand on heart this is the 1st issue in 6 yrs)
anyway changed the belt and the drum was still struggling so ripped the seal off to find the item of underwear that had caused the problem in the first place..now i cant get the bloody thing back on
i cant remove the front of the machine so that i am directly working on the bit i need i have to work thru the whole front of the washer...
i can only describe it as trying to get one of those fancy jam jar cloth lids back on but it needs to go under a lip ( the tension spring does)
is there a method? if i have to pay someone then i cant do my brakes this weekend.. hence the desperation!
thanks in advance

sounds to me like the inner seal needs to go on before the drum is re fitted. i.e put on with the drum removed then fed through when drum is put back

oh thats worrying as i havent removed the drum  :embarassed:( fitted the belt thru top and floor) while it was laying on the floor
have done it 4/5 times.. managed to get it where i think its done, filled it, then watched it pour ( from underneath) all over the floor
