Angel eye's bulb fitment

Hi, it maybe a silly question i have angel eyes with projectors in my mk4 i put HID's in there h7 but i had to cut the bulb about and stuff to get it in. Is h7 the correct fitment for them? they were already on there when I bought the car so i have no idea.

H7 are the correct fitment for the mk4 gold yes. Thats what i've got fitted in my angel eyes.

and did you have to modify the bulbs to fit or were they plug and play?

You have to cut a hole in the back to fit HIDS, But standard h7 bulbs fit fine.
