The look of the car on low springs is good but you'll get bored of not being able to drive it anywhere for fear of hitting speedhumps and kerbs, Go for 30mm and the car will sink on the springs a little anyway as they loosen up over time.

I think 40mm is the maximum if your still driving on british roads.

Pay the extra money and go for Eibach, they are quality. Don't do it on the cheap , its not worth it. Drop the car 80mm??? you're havin a laugh !

80mm? who suggested that? i wanna be able to drive it! thanks for the advice, looks like im gonna have to go with the eibachs. you seen any pics of mk3 with 9 spoke 17" tt alloys?? thats my plan. ;D
