I have Hawk HPS pads and they can often be quite noisy. In heavy rain, omfg, they are loud the 1st time you lay into them each time. After each wash also loud at 1st. Then when dry and they begin warming under spirited driving, again loud. I'm thinking of trying Hawk ceramics or EBC reds next time myself.

Thanks ROH ECHT, Kinda put me off the Hawks. My wife will go nuts if I ruin the practicality of the car, and squeaky brakes are really annoying
