one of my cars had this missing makes driveing through a flood suboptimal aswell.

  it makes a rather diffrent and unusual sound when a load of water gets in the bellhouseing and starts getting thrashed about by the flywheel  this must also disapear quite a bit of power as well   so end up needing more revs so it makes more noise.   

first few times you'll wonder whats just broken
all the VW's have gone bar 1.
