sill trim adhesive

just had to have 2 new sills welded on my mk3 and now need to put all the plastic trims back on.
whats the best adhesive,the double sided foam sticky tape stuff or the mastic type stuff from a gun.

Do not use PU sealers, or equivalent Sikaflex, these products are designed for gap filling/sealing
Windscreen bonding adhesive is the way to go, use it with the primer thats supplied, and a 1cm deep "V" cut into the end of the application nozzle, so the sealer comes out sideways, this makes application easier.
