New A3 Inbound

Got this email yesterday, wonder how long it will be before the S3 comes out....

As a current A3 driver, we hope you'll be interested to know about the recent unveiling of the all-new Audi A3, which has just made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Not only have we evolved the exterior for a more dynamic look, we've also included the very latest Audi technologies inside. Its interior is more ergonomic than ever before offering all the high quality you'd expect of Audi. And thanks to ultra lightweight materials and enhanced engines, it's more fuel efficient and emits less CO2 than its predecessor.

The new A3 will be open for ordering soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to stay up to date with all the latest news, including exclusive preview invitations, just click below.

Pricing of the A3 will also give us an idea on the Golf pricing, to see if VAG will pass on any savings in their manufacturing process.

There are plenty pictures from the Geneva car show on the A3.Was a bit shocked as it looks the exact same as the last mode,l some subtle change at the back the same as the 4 x 4 A3. The Interior is certainly different looking. The base model is up by £2,000 on the current base model.
Me personaly will never buy another Audi

Same here. The image round here puts me off...all the suburban idiots now aspire to an Aldi...so for that reason alone I will never buy another one.

It amazes me how they manage to make a car that's quick A to B but gives the driver no sense of feel or satisfaction.
Odd...they are dull as dishwater to drive...and sadly, I include the RS4 in that too...impressive pace...but as subtle as a brick to the face...it just bludgeons the road into sumission.

My S3 was one of the quickets cars I've driven A to B...but by a long chalk, the most boring.

How can the Golf give so much more information than the A3 when they share a platform?

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Funny you should write that. I had the A3 Sport TDI 170 when it first came out.
After a year I had a hired Golf 1.4.TSI. After one hour I stopped the car to have a look round the back to see what engine it was because it was just so much more fun than my A3. Not only did it hold the road better but I actually preferred the interior.
Audis are well over priced.
If I was not 6,2 I would seriously consider a POLO GTI at £18,000 with a 180bhp on tap with DSG as standard. Jezz that must be a flying machine.
