GTI mk6 alloys
« on: 04 March 2012, 16:47 »
Hi
Just joined after a good look around - good forum.
I am lucky enough to be trading my black '05 GTI mk5 for a 1 year old mk6 GTI 3 door in Candy White
I have seen a GTD with Charleston Shadow alloys and I think they look fantastic.
My mk6 has standard Monza (no shadow) and I think it will cost around £500 each for Charleston's from VW - which is too much to justify the change.  I have found these very similar with shadow, image below, at about £600 for the 4 rims. Not OEM's.
I would really appreciate anyone's advice, thoughts and opinions on the pro's and con's of the much more economical solution.
I do love the candy white with shadow or black wheels.
Cheers

Welcome...

If your going to upgrade your shoes, then stick with oem wheels as the quality is much better than reps...monza shadows and the charlestons tend to come up on ebay every now and then, so keep your eyes peeled.

Good Luck! and may I say you've chosen a great colour!!!
