i was just thinking about asking whats better to use then autosol. As i have a few black spots on the tips and no matter what i do it just wont budge. I leave autosol on for about 5-10mins and then use a tooth brush. But now i can see your using wire wool but what grade is it?

It's 00 grade wire wool mate.

But tbf your not really using autosol properly, it's an abrasive paste so using a toothbrush is a bit pointless, get yourself a microfibre or even a piece of rag, put a little on the rag and then get sime elbow grease into it! You may not need wire wool.

You can pick up bags of 00 wire wool dead cheap in most places (B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation, etc). I have used it in conjunction with Autosol and also with the Britemax Metal Twins. The inside of the tailpipes on mine is pretty baked on and I am thinking I may have to take varying degrees of flap wheel to it to clean them up before going at them again with the Britemax.
