Removing peeling paint from plastic
« on: 29 March 2012, 22:40 »
Hello

I've got a full 90's spec kit which I picked up cheap. Someone has painted it very badly, and the paint is peeling. They didn't prep it before painting... Has anyone got any tips for getting the paint off? I've used an air compressor to try and blow it off but it's not doing the trick. I don't really want to sit for hours on end peeling all of the paint off. I've thought about using a heat gun or hair dryer?

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

I normally use a steam cleaner to blast flaking paint off, the heat works wonders on the paint
