So do you plan to run a long micro USB cable from the cigarette lighter, up the A pillar and to the sun visor?

Obvious I know.  But why didn't you ask your boss where he got his from?

I was just looking around to see what else there was, read reviews on these and others, thought I'd ask others that are into cars and devices for cars (my boss isn't) what they use/know etc He couldn't remember where he got it from, only that it was around £30

Heaven forbid a question about a car related device, be asked on a car forum

No replies (in my budget) and I had the car, thought bugger it I'll get it, if I don't like it I can send it back. So far so good.

Jamie,
It's got a battery and lasts 22hours I read, so good enough for 2 weeks commuting but I might run the cable yet.

Oh right! That's impressive. Please let us know how you get on with it as I'll be looking to get one at the end of the month!

Used it last night and this morning, just as good as I was hoping.

Pair with your phone, press the FM button and it tells you what frequency to tune your radio too (press vol +/- to change frequency) start playing your music on your phone through whatever music app you want to use, skip tracks by pressing the back or forward button  on the unit.

Brilliant piece of kit

Oh and if you're using Android (least with CM7.1) you can have your phone lower the music volume when you have a notification / call / navigation prompt instead of pausing the music

That's awesome! Any ideas on how using bluetooth to play your music rather than plugging into an aux will affect your phone's battery life? I've found that it's on Bluetooth 2.1 rather than 3 (or even 4!).

Dunno, but my phone has been off charge for 12hr 25mins and has had wifi & BT on all day, played music on my journey to and from work via the device and it's got 54% left, but saying that the ROM I have on my phone kills the battery life compared to a stock/modified stock HTC ROM.

Just get a splitter for the ciggie socket so you can charge the Jabra and your phone at the same time

I'm lucky because I have a socket in front of the gear stick and behind the centre arm rest, so could charge both at the same time without a splitter

So Jay, now that you've had it a while what are your thoughts? I'm looking to buy one come payday.

It works as advertised

Only taken a handful of calls in that time, but it's been fine so far and please with it, I've only charged the battery twice - once when I first got it and the second was early last week I think it was, it gets used about an hour to and hour and a half during the weekdays on my commute then however long on the weekends when I'm driving about. Also please that it takes the same microusb-b connector meaning I can have 1 cable in the car to charge the wifes, my mothers, my father in law, my sister in laws etc etc and my phone as well as the B/T kit
