golf mk3 cabriolet value?

I have been given a mark 3 golf cab, p reg with private plate, I cannot find any on ebay, what sort of price roughyl do they go for? anything to look out for? did they have the crappy single point injection 1.8 etc? thanks
i must buy a new car!

depends on the age.
if its a later one then will be the 2.0 8v engine (gti basically)
if its early then the 1.8.
easiest way to tell is it 4 or 5 stud.

I'm pretty sure I went to go see a late avenguarde and it was 5

They were all 4,  i have a MK3.5 and its also 4 for some reason, dispite the GTI Running gear.
10 golfs and counting! 

Engine cranes = the ultimate tool to test the tensile strength of Everything you didn't disconnect!

150 quid on ebay not too bad? il get some pics as soon as i get it out of the garage, no rust really though apart from slight bit by rear window
i must buy a new car!

I fitted a new hood on my mk1 cabby a lot of years ago, was a right sh#t. Good luck and just take you time.
