Possible mk 1 project /

Hi all ive been offered a mk 1 shell as a project car basicly itts got seats rear beam n front /////////8/1susopesion wings n doors were rotten so the lads ditched these. Aldo needs a engine hes offerd tome for 4 ton. Shells ready tobe sand blsted and sprayed .How hard is it to find parts re wings and doors she also needs a engine so what woud my engine options be many thanks

Think this should be in the MK1 section, you'll get as much help as possible in there.

OEM panels are getting very hard to find, especially at a sensible price. When I originally needed a replacement wing for mine I waited for a decent second hand one (ebay).  Pattern panels are still kicking about but I would try and avoid these if possible.

After a long wait I did eventually get my hands on a pair of unused OEM wings from someone who had them stored for years but never used, I won't be letting go of these any time soon!

What shell is it, series 1 or 2?... what model was it?

Engine wise, what do you want from it as practically any golf engine from many MKs can be fitted with a bit of work?

If its a cab I have wings doors bonnet boot lid rear bumper door mirrors and full blue leather that I might sell.
