Just bought a 99 Mark 4 Gti Turbo, it's got a couple of mods on it, induction kit exhaust etc, the problem I have is when accelerating it sounds like the recirc constantly releasing air, then as I release the accelerator you get the usual dump of air, I first thought it could be the induction kit sucking air in but as I've had loads of cars with kits before this isn't the usual noise, the recirc is just a black plastic one not the metal forge type ones, im thinking this could be a standard one??? Has anyone else experienced this and what was it??? Again it's just a hiss as I accelerate then a loud hiss as I release the pedal(usual dump valve sound) Cheers
