If you're sat with the car idling and try to turn the steering wheel should the revs rise slightly? :huh:

Yes as it is extra load on the engine.

I wouldn't expect it to raise the RPM too much, how much you talking?

there should be a noticeable rise as you turn it, but as said, not a massive amount really

My revs drop very slightly because my pump is leaking and knackered! Just bought another pump, another job added to the list :)
