try adjusting the timing tensioner,Does it get worse if you steer the wheels all the way to lock?

the noise has disapeared for now, but yes there is a noise if i crank the wheels all the way in either direction which is not as horrible as  in the video. There is also a juddering of the wheels (very slight) especially if the wheels are cranked a lot and I am backing up in reverse. I have not tried to adjust the tensioner as I do not have the special tool to do this. My friend does have this tool so I would like to know if this is the problem and how exactly do I go about doing this as it is not very specific in the Haynes manual..

Also will I damage my vehicle if i simply drive it as is and just not crank the wheels to the max at times.

I checked the power steering fluid and that seems to be ok.

I can upload a video of the sound now when I crank the wheels if that will be of any help.

It has had a cambelt done supposedly at 66000miles and now has 98000miles. It did not have this problem in the summer time and has only been a concern lately. ( I probably didn't notice it at first so it may be as long as three four months now..)

Thanks,

Tom
