We can all blame Labour for increasing the number and value of benefits when they were in government.

Unemployment is generally higher under the Tories, and by quite a bit.
Interesting point that..

Not a Tory but, in my lifetime they have always taken over from a failed labour government, 79 winter of discontent, 2010.....
Granted they took us into the 89 crash but managed to pull us round into the right direction with Tony Blair making the most of it.
Labour always up public spending and the civil service, its what they stand for.
Tories cut back spending and promote big business and trade at the expense of the civil service and level of state funding, the ethos is if pays for itself then it can stay.

The last tory government was a nightmare. Unemployment was over 3 million, interest rates hit 15%, inflation was high.
Trying to get a job in the early 90's was a nightmare.
We had a good decade of growth under labour, unfortunately what we've seen is boom and bust again, which seems to happen whoever is in government.
It is a fact that when labour left power, we were back into growth, the economy is now shrinking again.
All we are seeing now is attacks on the unemployed and the disabled, the NHS will fall apart.
If you vote conservative, be prepared to have a good job and don't become ill.
It could also be argued that labour clear up the mess conservatives leave behind, 20 years starving the NHS of investment is a perfect example.
The problem is too many people read the right wing press, the mouthpiece of conservatives.
Of course everyone that is unemployed or disabled is a scrounger, and labour are totally responsible for the national debt, which strangely enough is still getting alot bigger.
The reality is, the last government had to pour huge sums into bailing out the banks, at the same time we saw a global recession.

I don't support any of the parties, after voting for both I feel let down more by labour than the cons.
This is because I expected better from Labour.
I have a lib dem council and although there heart is in the right place they could not be trusted with sharp scissors let alone run the country.
Labour made the state we are in worse by not reeling in the spending when the signs were clear, instead they broke there own fiscal rules to justify a war and gain another term in office.
And don't get me started on the manifesto pledges they broke.....

I don't think Labour can win with Milliband in the chair he is just weak, this just leaves us with Cameron  and Clegg not exactly an inspiring pair are they?......

I actually voted lib dem at the last election, as a tactical vote, not realising that it would be a vote for the tories

I agree, the war was totally unjustified, and i lost alot of confidence in them.

All the parties do this, lying bastards
Do you remember the televised debates? Cameron slated Brown for the proposed NI rise, but within 24 hours of getting into government, he implemented it anyway. But this would only be for employees, not businesses..

Agree again, i don't like Ed Milliband, i think he is a ponce. I think Cameron is like a dodgey second hand car salesman, and as for Clegg, well he makes all the others look 100% honest
The main difference between the two main parties is, under the tories you will have to fend for yourself, this is fine for most, but just hope you don't lose your job, become ill or disabled.
