Rad fan....!!

Hi all......
I have a problem with my radiator fan on my Mk2 1800 golf
After been driven and warmed up, and, then left to stand with engine running, the fan cut's in, and is very noisey.
Is this a common problem just wear and tear
Cheer's

I've had to replace the one on my girlfriends Audi 80 due to it getting noisy.........I think the bearings were on their way out. Fortunately I had a spare.

The fact that GSF sell them must mean its not that uncommon for them to fail.

Mine did not work on my old 1300 mk2 got a second hand one for ?20 not bad. Be prepared to get a new rad aswell. When I took mine off the plastic on the rad was so brittle it snapped off in my hand, that was only ?50.
