Where to buy wet dry sandpaper
« on: 23 January 2012, 16:02 »
Im looking to refurb my wheels, struggling to find anything above 1200 grit wet dry paper.

I am going to refurb about 4 sets of wheels so need quite a few sheets of each grade to 2000, anyone recommend any places to get them from apart from Halfrauds?

screwfix b&q, machine mart and homebase all go up to 1200 only..

Halfords is a rip off, waxamomo do them but as i need about 30 sheets not willing to spend 90p a sheet.

Have been told to ask bodyshops as they use these grades quite a bit and sell them at trade prices.

The car spares shop near me goes up to 2000 grit and is 50p per sheet, if you get stuck I can get you some and send them to you if you want, I'll ask how much a pack of 50 is, I think it was about £16/£18 depending on grit last time I bought some.

Current cars 1995 Golf gti colour concept 2.0 8v 156,000 miles. bmw 316 1.9 129,000. yeah, life's good!
