hi guys i need help on choosing tyres and spacers for my bbs rc's which im getting refurbed this week.

what size tyres do i need? what tyres are the best for grip wet weather etc? Wheres a good place to buy from? i want a little stretch on them but not too much.

what size spacers do i need and wheres the best place to get them?

My cars not been lowered yet im waiting till i get the wheels on to decide whether to save up for air or to get a decent coilover kit.

My cars the mk4 golf gti 1.8t 3 door.

cheers

Yeah they are genuine. i want them to be able to grip in our wet weather, i got some budget ones once on my old focus and whenever i went round a roundabout at whatever speed i would end up sliding round it because the tyres were so cheap. so ive decided that tyres are like shoes, if you buy cheap trainers expect them not to be comfy or grip a more expensive up market trainer fits and feels great so im going to spend some pennies on tyres. thanks for the help

I bought mine from Ebay - they bolt to the hub then you bolt the wheel to the spacer using your existing wheel bolts

Results are as follows: (they are 20mm by the way)

I ran the Vredestein's on my RC's and couldn't fault them

Sadly not; it was a couple of years ago and its not in my Ebay history.  Think I paid about £60 for them though

Only are the rear.  Front track is wider as standard so by spacing the rear helps bring them into line
