Possible start of ignition problem??
« on: 31 December 2011, 15:17 »
Dear All,

Hope peeps had a good xmas and the upcoming new year!

Got an S plate mk4, I do quite short journeys each day and car is left to stand all day. I have noticed when I start car without using the accelerator (which i dont do!) a slight and momentary clicking noise from the dashbaord and the red light next to the drivers locking button on door goes dims slightly. The car then starts and things seem fine, I get no noise from coil pack. I am wondering if because of weather and short journeys battery possibly not fully charging on these journeys?

Wondered if anyone could throw any light on subject? Have not checked battery leads, will do this tighten if necessary and grease up etc!

Thanks

Jason!

Colder weather showing the wear in your battery / one of the cells ?
