Ok, it has Brad Pit in it but stick with it and it's an enjoyable film none the less.
No baseball knowledge is necessary.

I read a really interesting article about the book a few weeks ago when the Telegraph was reviewing the film; and how the Oakland Athletics used "sabermetrics" to buy players.
Fascinating stuff.
