i totally agree with nick though, off the shelf chinese stuff can be sh!t, they just need a little going over to make sure all is o.k.
china has come a long way in manufacturing recently, they are not quite spot on yet but not far off. i remember working for a titanium manufacturer who used to make turbine parts for big passenger aircraft companies and china was their biggest competition. i remember in a brief one of the managers saying, "china was their biggest competition, our QC is better but china are catching up very fast".
i know this post is about a "usa" turbo but it`s probably just a label stuck on..lol
