here is how to do it...
go to..
Go to the Settings application
Go to Settings / General / Keyboard / International / Add new keyboard
Choose Emoji from the list
et voila... you now have silly smiley faces in your texts and emails for free
I didn't know this.. not sure if others will have heard about it or not but no harm in putting this up
