Thanks for the comments gents. I'm really chuffed with how it turned out, especially seeming as it cost us less than the MK6 Gti we had ordered. It's not 'fully loaded' but then the Edition 35 comes with the bi-xenons, heated/elec leather, blue tooth, nicer wheels (in my opinion!) etc as standard so as standard it's already got a head start on what we had ordered originally.

We just added the service pack, 510 and cruise control as options and that's it.

To be honest, in hind sight i'd probably have ordered the Dynaudio and DAB packs but that's a little thing really. Happy on the whole. :)

Poobah... WOW!

That looks fantastic!

The wheels really look so much better against the Tornado Red paintwork. The colour also brings the revised bodywork to life IMO and really goes well with the black detailing (mirror caps and front splitter) that the Ed35 comes with.

But maybe I'm biased.

All in all though, seriously nice car. It's the first picture of an Ed35 that I've seen that really makes me think of the Ed35 as a "special" edition.

Thanks very much. Seriously kind comments.

I think the red does do it a favour but then i've always thought red looked good on the MK6. I also think the ED35 is a bit more sensitive to the changes between 3 and 5 door. The red 5 door ED35 i've seen didn't look nearly as nice imo.

Poobah, just to add... keep Photo #1 for the Calenders when they come up again next year. That first picture you posted is a definite candidate.

Nope, too many doors for me and don't like the wheels, they've also got a new gti in with the 19" glendale alloy wheels on it, also looks ugly!

Monza shadows all the way!!

I'd rather save for a bit longer and have the car in front of it.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
