Spark Plug recommendations?

Started the car this morning and it feels like i might be ready for some new plugs, so i just wondered what people recommend ?

ngk , denso ,3 core or prong there are other good brands out there .

Don't believe they hype. Don't spend lots of money on marketing.

Standard plugs work just as well.

It just a spark plug.

singel point bog standard NGK's   IMO th best plug for the money out there. 

multi electrode's are CRAP more crap in the way of the flame and only one ever sparks at once they just have multi electrodes to prolong the service life but plug desing moves on and a bog std singel elctrode plug's service life is plenty long in a mk2 now.     it's not like your going to be doing much more than 10-15k before you want to change them anyway as the engines do fould there pllugs a bit now,  mainly down to chamber desing and the fact its well on the way past 150K miles so uses a littel oil.

Dont bother with expensive ones, by the time you get round to needing to change them they will probably be welded to the head due to galvanic corrosion and you can afford a couple of sets of boggo plugs for the price of irridiums or whatever the latest fad is. Fancy plugs wont make you any power either and if they do you A: needed to change your plugs in the first place and B: have an overactive bum dyno.

i have ngk iridium plugs and 10mm racing ht leads and it really has improved the throttle response and have noticed a small improvement in mpg too, i always run her on vpower too, all makes a difference

I bet if someone changed those items back to (new) standard factory items, without your knowledge, you wouldn't have a clue it had been done unless you opened the bonnet and looked.

ive always used 3core ngk and tbh i can see what the guys are on about, when my car broke i tested for a spark and like the guys said they only ever spark on one core at a time anyway so single core plugs will work fine.

im running 7mm standard leads atm and they are in need of changing so i got myself some 8mm ones comming i dont imagine ill notice much difference though
