mk2 jetta omp strut braces
« on: 05 December 2011, 01:42 »
i am soon to buy a 4 point lower brace and front upper. was just wondering if a rear upper would fit underneath the metal shelf?

or if someone could tell me the measurements of the bracebar? where it mounts onto the struts

I swear people were having really bad trouble fitting the omp upper, aka its nothing like its ment to be and you have to drop some tank brackets

oh and under the metal shelf?????

Ohhhh sorry miss read on three parts!

1: I was talking about a MK2 Golf

2: I thought you meant rear lower (arb style)

3: Front upper as in strut brace on the bay not arb under.

Must admit I dont get how these rear braces are supposed to work. Am I right in thinking it goes over the shock threads that poke out of the rear arches? If so then you are not stiffening the shell, you are just tying the struts together and forcing them to bind or bend the strut threads under roll conditions which is just not a good idea.
