mayo on oil cap
« on: 27 November 2011, 16:51 »
hi guys my mk2 driver has mayo on the oil cap. i noticed it when working in the car the other day. iv read on the internet that this can happen if a cars driven short distances or not used often. the car has been sitting for the past 2 years. i wiped the mayo off and let the car run for about half an hour, checked the cap and once again the mayo was back. there are no other symptions of head gasket so would it be fair to think it just because the car has been sat? also i serviced the car a few weeks back but since then its only been started twice for about 5 minuets. i cant drive the car as it has no mot/tax but is there any form of test i could do to see if it was the gasket?

many thanks

Stop sticking your dick down holes

Joking you can buy hydrocarbon tester strips dip it in the expansion tank see if there is any oil flowing back through the rad pipes! Unless the water is grey and sluggy or its level is dropping like lead brick, its just proberly condensation build up after not starting it for awhile?
