No communication with diagnostics. Help needed!!!!
« on: 24 November 2011, 17:08 »
On my 1996 8v AGG, I'm getting fuel, but no spark. It cranks, but doesn't fire. I plugged in my friend's Snap-on Solus probe, but it just kept saying no communication. I read up on it and apparently, if an aftermarket stereo is fitted, it can mess up the port. So I've disconnected the stereo and ISO adaptor and did the tests as recommended. Still nothing shows up on the Solus' screen! Can anybody shed some light on this fault please? I'm losing my patience!!!

Alright Dan, I have a U281 code reader that may throw something up. I'm off tomorrow afternoon so will pop down your shack if you like. If the car is there, you can use mine as a donor to try and find the fault if you like as well. Was gonna pop down anyway to see if you had a bonnet going!

Could be a duff crank sensor causing your problem.
