ok, so decided to convert my 1.8 8v mk2 (90 spec) to a kr engine as I got given one. then realised that the loom for the kr has a million ring connectors I have no idea where half of them go :S also, having to convert from digifant to kjet as i dont have a conversion fuel rail to go digi on the kr.

So a few questions I'm hoping you guys could help with are-

Any body got a wiring diagram to help with teh kr loom?
will the original fuel pumps be ok with the kjet set up?
am i missing something , is there a way i could get the kr lump to run the digi stuff by making things at home rather than buying conversion parts?

sorry for being dumb, i presumed this was going to be a lot easier than it is!

I think you will need to switch back to k jet.

Might be better to sell the KR and get an ABF set up.

Fuel pump is different, not sure on wiring.

Im not sure on wiring diagrams but there is a very helpful guide on here.

You say you have a 1.8 digifant 1 to KR.  If your Golf is a 1990 8v gti then it would be Digifant 2.

If you have CE2 electrics in the Golf now, you need to check the engine bay loom on your KR motor, see if that is CE2 electrics aswell.  Use the rubjonny fusebox guide to find out.

This guide has helped me so so much in the past.  It will sort you out

I reckon you could do it pretty easy if you have most of the KR bits.

Different fuel pump setup too, as Wayne said..  I have one here from a 1.8 16v PL, same one, if you need it.

Do you have the complete and total engine from the KR? All the loom?   Ecu?

It maybe a challenge but could be done.   Or just sell the KR setup complete and buy a Mk3 2.0 16v Digifant 3 and fit that hehe

fuel pump wont run correctly on it, i had a regulator on mine to keep the pressure up on the kr. then went and got another k-jet fuel pump
