I'd go with a tomtom XL live iq routes. In fact I did.

Yeah, I got one for my step-dad too. The TomTom refurb shop online sells em cheap too (~£80) with a free case :)

I've got Google Navigation on my phone (which is awesome).

How good is it at re routeing you if it picks up that there is a jam, and how well does it know if there is a jam or not?

I can't comment, I've not really had that situation happen when using it.

Irrelevant, but my Mini's built-in sat nav has TMC support and works a treat, I've dodged 3x major traffic jams on the M6 with ease in the past year.

Went and purchased the XL2IQ route twitnav...now, has anyone got this and had experience of it re routing you via the live IQ route updating feature...want to know how effective it is and weather you have to turn it on or such  :undecided:

I was under the impression that it re routed you if it detects a hold up? I was sat in a Q for 20minutes...was not happy. Or have I got the wrong idea of the tomtom?
