Mine came on on my old MK5..... after I drove about for a week without the oil filler cap - in the winter with loads of rain (wondered why it sounded weird!). Thumbs up to local dealer at the time they had a mini chuckle, checked the car out, cleared the fault and even flushed out the oil then replaced with new together with a few filter - at no cost
