yes but when you have rebuilt from ground up or owned for years you dont just want to get rid of it

Respect that but for all the work / hassle involved it is not something I see the point in.

An engine conversion is easier than you think.

Make it worth while and drop in a Cupra R/S3 lump :)

Not much point, there's thousands of 1.8T's out there for pennies. Just get a different car.

I've done mine its up and running now :D wasn't to much hassle to be honest so long as your into mechanical side of things etc but there are a few things that if u don't do right u will F*#K it up I.e the clocks I lwft mine in while did engine and wiring etc and then connected battery big mistake lol the ecu obviously ran its checks and discovered the wrong clocks and imobbilised itself apart from that it all went smoothly took me 3 nights to do after work and atleast now if had do summat like a clutch or startermotor etc etc I know exectly what and we're to start and would take a lot less time more of a learning curve to me than anything
