Adjustment with bigger alloys?

Thinking about changing the alloys on my 1.9 TDI Match. The default tyres seem a little too small for the look of the car, in my opinion. So I'm considering getting bigger ones. Will this effect the insurance much? I'm paying just under 1k at the minute. How much can I expect it to increase?

Only your own insurer can answer the question.  Most specialist insurers would not charge for this.

I see. I use Admiral at the minute and paid up front. I imagine any adjustment would require payment upfront?

Oh I noticed. It's the first year I've been the main driver (as I needed Business Class 1) so I was looking at the cheapest quotes.

In general actually (rule of thumb), for cosmetics matters (not performance), if I were to put on larger wheels or swap a few bits of interior, would it generally affect the insurance? Or any car finance for that matter?

Yes most likely if you're not with a specialist. It increases the value/desirability of the car and therefore your premium. Admiral are a "standard" insurer and are not set up to deal with mods that well.

Ring and ask them, I did it in the past with them and it was £25 more.
