i'd say it was pretty normal, distract and avoid. saves thinking about it.
as long as you're dealing with it one way or another thats the main thing.
i dont deal with stuff like that too well, when my grandad died i wanted to smack the world silly, as obviously it wasnt his fault he smoked and got emphezemia

couldnt see what was wrong with lashing out at anyone and everyone. took weeks to stop, embarrisingly i was keen on slapping the priest as he didn't know my grandad and said "we'll all miss you" in his eugology he didnt know him and i found it a heinous crime. I know its not clever but thats how i dealt with it. :embarassed: (btw i never slapped the priest)
try to be strong so your wife can draw strength from you.
