heater control light
« on: 21 April 2005, 16:41 »
hey all u who have heater controls that the lights has gone out. i am able to replace the bulbs, the only other way you can do this is to buy a whole new heater control panel from a vw dealer for about £18 or ebay or wherever. i was wondering if ne1 would be interested in having me sort theirs out for them and how much u would be willing to pay for it. reply on here or would be easier to send me an email: mad_matt_1@hotmail.com

I'd be interested. Would you do it on an exchange basis?

done this job my self matey and its dead easy.
just take a sharp knife and carefully cut around the joint between the grey and black plastic and then just pull. if not just keep working the knife until you break through the glue and try to pull again.
tis a job of patiance tho other wise fingers and heater controls will be sliced badly!
i replaced my bulb with an LED so no more probs now. when done just use a couple of dabs of super glue to reatach the two pieces.

aye up me duck!

The poor guy wanted to make a bit of cash though, he might have a starving family to feed!
