^ sounds like a good plan as long as the indicators dont have orange inserts.

stock ones do and use white bulbs, smoked ones dont and use orange bulbs (although mine aren't OEM)


think the mk4 stylee ones run at about 160 quid?

 this has been made to sound far more complicated than it is. 

As for removing orange plastic from sealed units, piece of pee. it'd a very popular mod on rover 200 front lights. done it a couple of times.

like i said i'll wait til i can have a look at some lenses.

might think about the mk4 lights a bit more, it was always the other option, just a bit pricey.
