whilst changing the oil bang in some engine flush with your old filter still on goes in blue and comes out black really good stuff, and go to a vw dealer and buy new copper washers, don't thread the sump bolt tho
what oil do you guys use I have a 16v which is currently on mineral oil but may change again as the tapping noise is worse now than before. Any recomendations??

Had same noisy tappets problem when cold. Did an oil change, with flush, used a VAG oil filter, and filled up with castrol magnatec - no more noisy tappets!
