K-jet refitting.
« on: 16 September 2011, 16:00 »
Just need a bit of knowledge.

Right going to make a list of things I need.

  • Bolts that hold meterhead to the airbox, what size are these as I have none!
  • I need some main fuel hoses( from just by the throttle body to the airbox), can I get these new or will I have to search around.
and to go with these, as mine are rusty http://www.ssldieselparts.co.uk/banjo-single-tail-p-266.html
[/list]

Got most things just missing small parts as I must of chucked a few bits away!

Just got the rubber that goes on the metering head, £12 from vw heritage, f paying £35 on ebay like some mug had it up for! Can I make the rest up from silicone, or because of the shape of the throttle body do I need that rubber bit aswell.?

Oh and if someone would be so nice if they have a k-jet system in peices, could you please tell the me the pitch of the banjo bolts that come of the main lines to the MH and then the ones that connect to the WUR please.

Yer I had enough tbh, was stressing me out, I think my engine could be knackered as to why it was running on two cylinders, I only need one more bit of k-jet then it'll be back to normal lol

Ive bought an abf running ms2 off mk2abf on gcti, so as it was looking I was in need a of new engine (it was a dog anyway, oil leaks everywhere etc.) When the engines fitted at least I'll just be able to get it mot then.

Proper pissed off about failing though...

Cheers mate

Yer lol but I wont have to touch the ms, just plug it in a it'll be ready, prob have to do a bit of wiring, but thats easy now.

I'm just putting k-jet back on too see if it was anything to do with ms or anything else, just need some banjo bolts and intake and it's done.
