PAS belt, undo the 3 retaining bolts on the pulley on the PAS pump. That belt is now off,  Alternator belt - slacken off the 2 bolts that hold the alternator so you can push down on the alternator and that belt is now loose enough to take off

Refitting is the reversal of removal, but the PAS belt is a little bit of a cow to get back on. But it will go on

Its pretty straight forward really

Jack your car up, remove the bolts holding the pas pump mount x3 I think, and you will see a sort of geared nut that moves up a row of teeth thats on a bracket attached to the side of the engine. Loosen off the outer nut (13mm), then move the geared nut (17mm I think) back along the geared bracket. You can then remove your pas belt. Once this is off, you can then remove your aux belt as mentioned above.

No the alternator sits on a spring mounted.............mount, sort of thing!!! :undecided:

There is no tensioner arm and wheel on the side.

when doing the alternator belt you may need to put more pressure on the alternator so use a pry bar and put it carefully against the block when refitting the belt and pull towards you.

That's what i meant. On mine, which has aircon i do'nt need to undo any bolts to change the alternator belt,i just use gas pliers on the tensioner to pull it back on itself to remove the belt.Obviously i have to take the power steering belt off first to get the alt belt off the car.I was confused by the mention of undoing the alternator, thinking it was different on non aircon models.

Confused ?.You will be,tune in next week for another thrilling installment of.......................................
