Cheers jv

Well where do I begin?

Iv owned loads of vw's, audi's in the past including a lot of classics, seein as my dad owns The Dead Dubs Workshop, a classic vw restoration company. Iv finally got around to doing a build thread on my latest project so here goes

Bought the car about 2months ago and it was completely standard other than the r32 rims(not sure if they are genuine or reps?).

It's a 1.8t with around a 100k on the clock and generally tidy but got big plans for it

When I bought it.

Carbon wrapped the badges and the nasty wood effect trims inside

Fitted spax shocks and 85mm springs
Before

After

Next up was to get rid of the standard inter cooler and fit a forge side mount

Had to bore out for the sensor which was a little bit tricky the got it on and tested

And then this seeing as the front end was off lol

More to come

Next up I fitted adjustable drop links due to the usual driveshaft/ arb issues :undecided:

New n75 valve as boost seemed a bit lumpy and a forge 007p recirc valve

Picked up a couple of stickers at bug jam

Due to the drive shaft still rubbing the arb I ordered the white line arb with the larger hoops for clearance and I had this on my last A3 and really rated it and it arrived today    so I will get this fitted ASAP.

Also invested in the remains of dazveedub's bolf the break for parts and keep the smoothed bora front end, g60/vr6 flywheel and clutch, poly bushed wishbones seeing as mine are nackered

The misses really didn't appreciate the bora converted bed lol

Hoping to get the clutch/flywheel, arb,  TT short shifter and wishbones done next weekend when I can nick one of my dads 2post lifts for the day so watch this space

New cai

Also wanting to get rid of where previous owner had fitted a rubbish bailey dump valve if anybody can help with suggestions?

Cheers

Well had a busy day yester day

Fitted new polybushed wishbones as the old ones were cream crackered, arb with bigger hoops and adjustable drop links

Then fitted my g60/vr6 flywheel and clutch conversion and audi TT short shifter and i can believe how much difference it has all made

Out with the old

In with the new

Plus a quick pic of my spax shocks and 85mm springs whilst the wheels were off :)

Thats it for today but hopefully more updates next weekend :)
