Quick shift/gear knob

I have a short shifter fitted and the gear knob keeps coming off and moving when i drive quite annoying  :angry:, I was wondering if i purchase a standard/after market gear knob will it fit?  :rolleyes:

Probably, but is there not a grubscrew somewhere you can just tighten up?

Yeah their is, the knob comes off the section of metal that slots on the bar. and the screw is on the bit tube(section of metal) that slots on the bar. So even if i do tighten the screw the knob will come off anyway, its quite weird :undecided:
