OK so got 239mm brakes ATM and was gonna wait til my engine was ready to go in but the car is fairly COMPLETELY KNACKERED and is just driving horrible, every bush is just finished and I can't be driving down to Dover and back with the GF and my younger brothers in the car, it's diabolical.
SO was gonna just get it on for Friday, want the GTI wishbones as I've just bushed them up however I then need the GTI hub don't I? As the wishbones make it widetrack, I ASSUME they won't fit the 239 hubs?
So if I swap those over, that means I need the outer CV joints on the 1.6 wishbones yes?
Does the brake lines join up fine?
Rear beam, are the handbrake cables different/easy to swap?
Just asking as I need to get the beam off the GTI tomorrow and do it Wednesday.
