...havnt seen a car on bricks since the 80's...
There was a BMW (nothing special) just down the road from me, sat on its belly with all four wheels missing - the thieving gits didn't even have the decency to put it up on bricks!  And I live in a supposedly good part of town!

The three pin wheel bolts have a shroud around them that spins. Use a smaller socket to beat hell out of the bolt and bend the shroud off the bolt. This gives you a fighting chance to get them off as at this point you either jam an even smaller socket on like MattMK says, and hope it is tight enough to undo with, or you will need the removing tool as AudiA8quattro said. 

It's that pesky spinning shroud that needs to go first.

Of yes i forgot about the spinning surround. Hammer and large flat head screwdriver or chisel, then irwin extractor  :grin:
