sorry to hijack a bit, but where did you get your kit from? and my kr runs at around 100-105 normal and 110 hot. now if i was to fit a similar kit with 13 row cooler would i be cooling the oil too much? with 100mph on autobahn im seeing 105-110
im sure ive read on here somewhere 90 is ideal

Cheers. Thought it should however I questioned it as the mocal logo has been machined upside down.

I got the kit from www.rallydesign.co.uk

I'm a little concerned about overcooling too however retaining the original cooler and having a thermostatic plate which only opens the cooler when hot helps. I finished installing it yesterday and it seems to be doing a good job so far. Oil didn't go over 104 according to the MFA with some enthusiastic driving on private roads. Sat at between 92-94 most of the time. Using a polo/lupo GTI filter for a little extra clearance although I think a standard mk2 one would fit ok.

Only problem I have found is getting a good seal on some of the unions. PTFE tape has helped a lot however I have a slight weep from one of the connectors (typically the hardest to access with the bumper on etc )
