My Gti build week
« on: 03 August 2011, 14:44 »
Just got word my Gti is being built on the 29th of this month. Im well pleased as I ordered it on May 18th. Just hope its not sitting on the dockside too long waiting to be shipped over, as I can,t wait to drive it. On a different note a past thread said make sure you get your bottle opener when you take delivery of your Gti. As I like a beer now and then this would be very handy. Could anyone  tell me if this is still the case or do the dealers still like to have them as a previous topic mentioned it?

I believe they often have them away, you should use the Collection checklist posted elsewhere on this forum to make sure you check EVERYTHING.

Mine's been built 2 weeks premature without me knowing and is currently sat on a dock in Emden with a ship imminent apparently.

getting giddy now!!!!!!

Dealers ordering wrong stock........we wouldn't order a gti for stock unless a customer wanted one and we would change one of our Gtd orders for one : )

I picked up GTD 2 weeks ago.  It had all the items it should including bottle opener and oil top up kit and the dealer retro fitted storage kit FOC.

I used the check list from the forum as a reference, it was extremely handy!!
