Humm, decisions, decisions.
I wish I had no interest in cars, that I was over 60 with a free bus pass or too far gone to care.
Gonna take a saunter round all the dealerships looking at all supermini cars and will then probably make my decision which will possibly be to stop making a fool of myself and keep the GTI.

Dearest. Size matters. You don't want to go too small. Where's the fun in that.

Wolfgang says - It's not the size of the ship that counts, it's the motion of the ocean.
Bonnie says - But who wants a tug boat when one can get a battleship.

Bonnie is right, this time.

LOL true to form as ever Asker, what would we do without you    am so undecided.  I am going to piss off and think strategies so will not be lurking here for a bit.

Looks like the GTI will be staying as nothing else can match her, been to look at Mazda 2 today and  that is one sh!te car.  Hate the Mini, dislike Peugeot 207, Clio is ok but too French  and I just don't like the Polo.  Your filthy mind and mine would cancel each other out so it wouldn't be a match made in heaven I'm afraid, anyway I could never live in the big smoke.

i see the point in "downsizing". The GTI engine, amazing as it is, isn't the most efficient for all applications. with the price of fuel rocketing in recent months, it's much harder to run these cars.

i almost test drove a Fiesta. was in the showroom booking a test drive before deciding on the VW. i actually really like the newest shape . kind of looks sporty and modern. whether it will age well i'm not sure, but for now it certainly looks the part, at least to me.

Saw my first Polo GTI on the road today, looked lovely in white with the monza's! A friend of mine has an SE which is nice enough but very bland, the GTI on the other hand  may consider one as a toy to replace the Golf and get a used family wagon like an A4 or Exeo estate......hmmm :undecided:
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

Have test driven all the so called "Superminis" and TBH not one can match the quality of the GTI.  I have therefore come to the conclusion that I have the best car I could ever need even if it costs a sh!t load of cash to run, so I am keeping it for the forseeable and will decide again come next July when she is due for an MOT.

Second service due very soon and am so glad I took out the service plan at time of purchase.

@Amanda: So glad you are keeping IT in addition to Bonnie. A pairing between our children is now more than likely.
